What is GetMyBooks.com?

Get My Books is an online platform for students and parents to buy books, school uniforms,book-sets, stationery, notebooks, toys, games, and other accessories. 

We are a ONE STOP SHOP for books as well as for all your school supply needs. You can get started here. 

 

How can I find my book?

There are three ways to find the books that you need - 

First, you can go to “Books” from the menu and look into the relevant category

Second, you can use the search bar up top to search for the items you want to buy

 

Third, you can go to “List of Schools” from the menu and select your school. It will list all the books, school uniforms, book sets, stationery, notebooks etc used in that school
 

Fourth, go to “Upload your Booklist”, click a picture of the list of books and upload it on the platform. We will find all the books and other items on the list, add it to your cart and send you an intimation.

 

What other items can I order except books?

You can find school uniforms, school book sets, stationery, notebooks, toys, games, and other accessories.

How do I place an order?

Add all the products in your cart and checkout. You can either create an account or checkout as a guest. 

What is a bulk order?

If you want to order more than 10 copies of the same book or any other item, it will be considered as a bulk order. You can place a bulk order here. 

Can I order products used in a specific school?

Yes, you can. Go to “List of Schools” from the main menu and select your school. It will list out all the items that are used in the specific school. 

 

Can I request an unavailable book?

Go to the "request a book” feature and fill out the form. We will find the book for you and add it to your cart.

 

I want to buy all the school items. Can I find it all at once?

 

You can go to “List of Schools” from the menu and select your school.

 

It will list all the books, school uniforms, book sets, stationery, notebooks etc used in that school.
 

Can I send you the list items and you can order for me?

 

If you do not have the time to search for books,  go to “Upload your Booklist”, click a picture and upload it on the platform. 

 

We will find all the books, add them to your cart and send you an intimation about it. 

 

Where do you ship the products from? 

 

Get My Books is a marketplace and we have hundreds of suppliers on this platform. 

 

The place of shipping depends on the place of business of the supplier that will be sending you the order.

 

Do you ship outside of Calcutta? 

 

Yes, we ship items all over India. 

 

How do I check if GetMyBooks delivers it to my Pincode? 

 

When you click on a product, you can find a box where you can enter the PIN code and check the availability of the product in your area.

How do you view an order? 

You can go to My Account and click on My Order to view all your order details. 

 

How can I add a new shipping address? 

You can go to My Account and click on Addresses. You should be able to add a new address or edit existing ones.

 

How can I change my email address?

Go to My Account, change the details and click save.

 

How can I change my password?

Go to My Account and click on Change Password. You should be able to change the password.

 

ORDER AND PAYMENT FAQs

 

How can I pay for the products? 

 

You can use all the standard payment models including debit cards, credit cards, wallets, net banking, etc.

 

Is paying with credit cards safe?

 

Yes. We use a secure payment gateway. 

 

Is there an option for COD? 

 

Unfortunately, we do not have this facility right now. However, we are working on adding it to our payment options. 

 

What is the limit on COD?

How can I cancel my order? 

 

Cancellations are allowed ONLY if your order is not yet shipped.  You can go to My Account and click on My Orders to place a cancellation request

 

If you want to cancel an order after the ordered items are shipped, you can place a request but the shipping amount will not be refunded. 

 

In case you receive the package even after placing a cancellation request, you can refuse to accept the package. 

 

Can I order large quantities?

           

Yes. You can order large quantities of the same items or different items under the Bulk Order section. 

 

How do I place a return request?

 

You can go to My Account and then click on My orders to place a return request. Please note that there is no option to return books. 

 

You can only request a replacement for any books ordered. 

 

 

I have created a return request. When will the products be picked up? 

 

We will schedule it as soon as possible and within 7-10 days if our shipping partner offers the pickup service from your Pincode.  If not, the customer is requested to send the shipment back to our address. We will verify it once we receive the package. 

 

What is your refund policy?

 

We give you a 100% refund if you cancel the order before the items are shipped. If they are already shipped when you cancel the order, the shipping cost will not be refunded. 

 

I received damaged or incorrect products. What should I do? 

 

First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience. You can go ahead and place a return request.

 

 Can I add a book to my already placed order? 

 

No, you will have to create a new order. We are still working on adding this feature.

 

Is there a way to get the delivery expedited? 

 

We have two options for you 

 

FedEx Priority - You can get the delivery within 2-3 working days 

FedEx Standard - You can get the delivery within 4-6 working days

Can I initiate an exchange request? 

 

Yes, you can initiate an exchange request from My Account.

 

I am charged GST. What is it? 

 

GST is the short form of Goods and Services Tax. It is mandatory by the Government of India to impose this tax on listed goods and services. 

 

How is the GST amount decided? 

 

The percentage of GST to be charged is mentioned by the Goods and Services Act 2016. 

 

While there is no GST on books, there is a 12% GST on shipping.

 

In case of returns/refunds, will the GST amount be refunded as well? 

 

Yes, the full amount is refunded. 

 

 

 

SHIPPING FAQs 

 

Is shipping free? 

 

No, shipping is not free. You can read more about our shipping policy here

 

When will I qualify for free shipping? 

 

Unfortunately, we do not have free shipping right now. We are working on this aspect and will inform you as soon as we add it in. 

 

When will the products be delivered?

 

Depending on the kind of delivery option (Priority or Standard) you have chosen, the products will be delivered anywhere between 2-5 working days.

 

Where can I track the order status?

 

You can go to My Account, click on My orders and then track the status of individual orders. 

 

Where do you deliver?

 

We deliver to all parts of India. 

 

When you click on a product, you can find a box where you can enter Pincode to check the availability of a product in your area. 

 

Can I change my delivery address after I've ordered?

 

No, you cannot change the delivery address after you have ordered it. You will have to cancel the order and place another order for the new address.
